Top Tips For Settling Your Child At Nursery
It’s a new and exciting adventure for both you and your child, the nerves you may be feeling can be emulated through your child. So be excited and open with them about the new stage in their life, all the things they will learn and get to do- make new friends, messy play, snack time and lots of songs. Make this time fun, go shopping to choose a new nursery bag and cup so when that first day comes they can’t wait to drink from their new cup.
We offer a stay and play and a child only settling in sessions, allowing for both you and your child to get to know us well and feel at ease. You chose us, you should feel relaxed and at ease in our company that we will look after your child as you would do yourself, we ensure this buy going through an extensive stay and play session. Once we’ve met both yourself and your precious little one, they are welcome to come back and play on their own. This experience will give them a taste of nursery life and to express themselves and explore and show us who they are, your child’s key person will be their main contact and provide their support system. Please don’t worry about nerves and tears, we’re trained in the art of distraction as parents leave and we have years of experience of welcoming new families to the nursery and allaying their fears.

Leaving your child in a childcare situation can be stressful and leave you full of nerves no matter how old they are, but we are here to help. No question is silly or one we haven’t heard before, our job is to ensure that you are as comfortable with us as your child is. Transition from home is a significant stage in any child’s life and we are going to make it as comfortable as possible, it may take one session it may take days or even weeks but that’s what we’re here for! We shall help you through every step of the way, your child is precious and it is our honour to look after them and aid them on their learning journey.
