Flexible Childcare

Unlike some nurseries we offer flexible childcare to shift workers, such as hospital staff or emergency services, where your childcare can fit in line with rotating shift patterns. Please ask us what we can do to help.

Free places for two year olds

We are a time for two’s provider … Eligible two year olds can access free childcare provision through the local sure start children’s centre. The benefits to your child are extremely positive including support around speech and language, behaviour, and opportunities for play and development of social skills. As part of your Time for Two’s package, you as a family will receive support around any issues you may be experiencing.

Criteria … To be eligible for the learning and play experience for you and your two year old you will need to be in receipt of one of the following benefits:

• Income Support
• Income based job seekers allowance
• Child tax credit at a higher rate than the family element
• Extra working tax credit relating to disability
• Pension Credit
• Employment and support allowance

Applying for Time for Two’s … If you’d like to apply for a Time for Two’s place, you can pop into the children’s centre or give us a call. A member of the team will then contact you to arrange a time to visit you at home and begin the application process. We will need to ask you questions about your family’s circumstances and we will write a brief report based on your family’s needs. We will also need to see some proof of your benefits so please make sure you have this information to hand when we visit. The application will be completed at this stage and sent for approval.

Free places for Three Year Olds

We offer free placements for working parents of three and four year olds.

The government has committed to doubling the amount of free childcare from 15 to 30 hours a week for working parents of three and four year olds from September 2017. The 30 hours extended entitlement to have a real impact on the lives of families, supporting parents who wish to work, or to work more hours, to be able to do so.
